Chiropractic is a hands-on, natural healing method, that is primarily focused on keeping one’s spine aligned and properly moving.

The condition called Subluxation is when our vertebrae become misaligned or locked and stop moving properly. This results in stiffness, pain, nerve irritation, and tight and knotted muscles. Subluxations are the consequence of many things, such as physical trauma, poor posture, difficult working conditions, improper sleeping positions, emotional stress and the lack of exercise.

Subluxations can also result in one’s body not functioning up to its highest potential, and may result in problems with overall health, such as indigestion, allergies, sinus trouble, sleep issues, etc.

A chiropractic adjustment is a very quick, specific, and gentle maneuver, which brings proper movement back to the joints and realigns the vertebrae. It results in increased flexibility, muscle relaxation and diminished nerve irritation. Adjustments are performed after careful palpation of the spine.

Chiropractic adjustments are the heart of our work together. Alone, they will account for much of the improvement that occurs here. However, there are several other factors that help determine the pace of your improvement, and how far that improvement will go. These include your posture, your work/school environment, your sleeping habits and your exercise regimen.
